Terms of Service

By creating an iHatePosting account, you agree to these simple terms. We'll keep them short and expand them as the product grows.

Your account

Signing up creates an iHatePosting account on the 90-day free trial — no credit card required. Paid plans are billed as shown on the billing page; you can change or cancel your plan at any time, and changes apply from the next billing cycle. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe.

Your content & connections

You keep all rights to what you post. Connecting a social account authorizes iHatePosting to publish there on your behalf — only what you compose, only when you tell us to. Each platform's own rules also apply to what you publish through iHatePosting.

YouTube

Connecting a YouTube channel uses YouTube API Services. By using iHatePosting, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy governs how Google handles your data. You can revoke iHatePosting's access to your YouTube account at any time via Google's security settings.

Free trial

New accounts get a 90-day free trial from the day you sign up. No card is required to start it. The trial includes a limited allowance — a smaller number of connected accounts and scheduled posts than the paid plans, and no AI caption assistance. When the trial ends you can still sign in and edit drafts, but scheduling, publishing and connecting new accounts stop until you choose a plan. Anything already scheduled is turned back into a draft rather than published, so nothing goes out unexpectedly.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, either monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply where you are. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you before the change takes effect.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep access until then, and you are not charged again. We do not automatically refund partial periods. If something has gone wrong, email us: we would rather sort it out than hold on to money for a service that did not work for you.

Ending your account

You can stop using iHatePosting and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for the abuse described below, or exposes us or the platforms we publish to to legal risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. Posts already published to your social accounts belong to those accounts and are not removed when your iHatePosting account ends.

Acceptable use

Don't use iHatePosting to spam, mislead, or violate the rules of the platforms you publish to, and don't attempt to disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that appear automated, fraudulent, or abusive.

No warranty

iHatePosting is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free — the social platforms we publish to also change their APIs from time to time.

Who can use iHatePosting

You need to be at least 16, or old enough to enter a contract where you live, whichever is higher. If you are using iHatePosting for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to agree to these terms on its behalf. You are responsible for anything done through your account, so keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has them.

The social platforms we publish to

iHatePosting publishes through the official APIs of the networks you connect. Those networks control their own rules, rate limits and availability, and they change them without asking us. A platform can reject a post, deprecate a feature, or withdraw access to an account at any time — when that happens we surface the platform's own reason on the post rather than hiding it. Which networks are available, and what each one supports, can therefore change over time.

Your privacy

What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we store what we need to publish your posts and report back on them, we do not sell your data, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time via the data deletion page.

Who owns what

Your posts, images, video and captions stay yours — we claim no ownership of them, and we use them only to provide the service you asked for. iHatePosting itself, including its name, interface and software, stays ours. Nothing in these terms transfers our intellectual property to you, or yours to us.

Changes to the service

iHatePosting is actively being built, and features may be added, changed or withdrawn as it develops. We will not remove something you rely on without notice where we can avoid it. We may also carry out maintenance that briefly interrupts publishing; scheduled posts affected by an outage are retried rather than dropped.

Feedback

If you send us an idea or suggestion, we may use it to improve iHatePosting without owing you anything for it. We mention this only so nobody is surprised — we are not claiming ownership of anything else you send us.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, iHatePosting is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profits, lost audience, or lost business — arising from use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and we will give notice of material changes by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use iHatePosting after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

General

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something once does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later. We may transfer these terms if the business is sold or reorganised; you may not transfer your account to someone else without asking us. Together with the Privacy Policy, this is the whole agreement between us about iHatePosting.
